GBYLA offers clinic-style sessions in the fall for new players in grades K-8 to learn the game. From the GBYLA website:

Want to learn lacrosse? Fall Lacrosse is the perfect opportunity for new players to learn the game! We are registering all boys & girls from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Your player will learn the basics of the game including catching, throwing and picking up ground balls. The format is clinic based and fun! Your player will learn what he/she needs to know to start practicing with their community team once the spring season begins in January. No experience is necessary!

Mini-Stix is for our youngest players! This program is planned specifically for boys & girls grades K – 3.

Boys & girls grades 4 – 8 will participate in separate new player clinics designed specifically for this age group.

Super fun and easy to learn! Mini-Stix will have sticks provided on-site. Boys & girls grades 4 – 8 are required to have their own stick. Program fee includes a super cool t-shirt and a USA Lacrosse Membership! This membership can be used to register for the GBYLA Spring Season 2024!
